[Editor’s note: As some of you know, George has to post for me because I get some stupid 503 error every time I try to do it myself. I know you all are experiencing some wonky problems too. We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know. It is so frustrating. It also looks like someone pulled my story about what happened to Monomakhos all those months ago and, apparently, it’s continuing to happen because it’s not getting a whole lot better.
Things I’ve been thinking about when I’m not on the phone with Bluehost and Go Daddy]:
REP. JAMIE RASKIN HAS WAX IN HIS EARS
How else would one explain the following inane question on the House floor: “After 11 months of this, no one can tell us what President Biden’s crime was, much less where it happened, when it happened, what the motive was, who the perpetrators were or who the victims were?”
I can tell you exactly WHAT President Biden’s crime was and in fact did. It was his involvement in his family’s influence peddling schemes in foreign business dealings.
The WHEN (one of them) was April 16, 2015. The WHERE was in the “Garden Room” at Café Milano in Georgetown.
The MOTIVE was for the then-Vice President Biden to be able to exercise influence over Burisma, less than a year before he pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor to thwart an investigation into a company tied to his son, Hunter, who purportedly received $50,000 a month for doing absolutely nothing.
The PERPETRATORS were identified in an email of appreciation from Vadym Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the board.
It read: “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”
The VICTIMS, of course, are always us; the American people. Duh!!!

LATE FEES $8
Chase Bank charged me a late fee of $34 five times for items I purchased within a 24-hour period. Did you know this is against the law? Because Chase is a “Larger Card Issuer” (have lots of card holders), they can’t charge you more than $8.
“. . . . The rule, which was published in the Federal Register on March 15, 2024, aims to ensure that late fees are reasonable and proportional to the costs of collecting them. It limits card issuers with over one million open accounts from charging more than $8 for late fees, unless they can prove higher fees are necessary. The rule also eliminates the increased safe harbor fee amount for subsequent violations.” https://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/documents/cfpb_credit-card-penalty-fees_final-rule_2024-01.pdf
If the bank does this to you, file a quick complaint with the CFPB on their website and they will take it up with the bank on your behalf. I got my money back from Chase. https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION?
Don’t feel bad. Most of us don’t. – We don’t know enough; let’s put it that way. I suggest we all take a course from one of the best universities still in existence. Cost too much? Naw. It’s free. https://online.hillsdale.edu/landing/constitution-101
