As we have been saying for quite awhile now, we are not living in ordinary times. In fact, they’re quite tumultuous. Dangerously so.
As a nation (a civilization even), we are at an historical inflection point. One can feel it.
The upcoming election (if it proceeds) will be one for “all the marbles.” No two ways about it. We will either continue to have a constitutional Republic or we will not. We will continue to elect our presidents in free and fair elections or they will be chosen as they were in the Soviet Union, by a poliburo. That’s how Kamala Harris was chosen to be the candidate for one of our major parties in case you forgot. And of course, it goes without saying that our presidents will also be subject to coups d’etat; again, as they were in the Soviet Union, as well as countless banana republics in the world.
That’s why I can state with confidence that this one is for all the marbles. Simply stated, the old Left/Right, Democrat/Republican paradigm no longer holds. Instead it is the People versus the Globalists, the Patriots against the Oligarchs.
That’s what the endorsement of Trump by Robert F Kennedy, Jr means. And that’s why the Kennedy camp put together this political ad, which is probably one of the most powerful political ads of all time.
Please take the time to watch it.

One should bear in mind that the Biden/Harris administration has played into Russian hands from its inception, if Russia’s interests are defined as emancipation and independence from the West, the weakening and destruction of NATO and the eventual expansion of its influence, after EU regime changes, throughout central and western Europe.
The war, the sanctions, the threats to the West’s adversaries – all of it has helped the Russian economy, virtually destroyed the European economy (especially Germany) and harmed the American economy. Seizing Russian assets was a major factor in the Rest ending the dollar as the international transactional currency. And the gift just keeps on giving.
Now, if Trump wins, he may stabilize the situation and tie off the bleeding limbs, but the trend will continue. If he doesn’t win, while it will be much worse domestically, internationally, it will simply speed up the process of the fall of the West and the rise of Eurasia.
So really, God wins either way. Either He has mercy, gives us some domestic relief and slows down the de-Americanization process, or He lets us wallow in our just deserts, keeps the Eurasian ascent in high gear and let her lay where Jesus flung her.
So, while I will be voting for Trump, you have to look at the big picture to understand that God is in charge regardless of the volition of the American people or any Steal that may or may not work.

“All men are created equal . . . ” is one of the boldest lies ever told. It is obviously nonsensical on its face if you measure equality in any conventional way. At best, it is a wish that all men be treated equally under the law. I.e., that millionaires and homeless people both equally share the right to sleep under bridges.
In reality, whether by inheritance or some combination of ingenuity, industry and talent, some men are much more capable of social advancement and accomplishment in various areas than others. Mankind is inherently unequal (and hierarchical). This includes his opinions regarding governance. Many are fools; few are wise. Many are weak; few are strong. And so on.
Originally, there were restrictions on the franchise. Not only was it controlled for sex and race, but also for social status. As a practical matter, only the landed, originally, were enfranchised. This was no accident. The founders believed in a sort of aristocracy of educated landholders. Hence the “republic”.
But idealism took its toll and expanded the franchise to many who lack any basis for sound judgement, not sharing the perspective of the educated landholders who understood from their perches the mechanisms by which the economy and society perpetuated soundly.
But, notwithstanding that the original myth has been trammeled and abandoned, that myth was fundamentally flawed at its inception. Government does not draw its legitimacy from the consent of the governed. It only draws its legitimacy from God. One can have a monarchy or empire or, alternatively, a dominant party system headed by a strong executive. However, it must be understood that neither the people nor the government are free to revise morality at will. Some arrangement with the Church or, in the case of America, the churches, is absolutely necessary to preserve basic morality and the legitimacy of the government, regardless of the bad ideas of which the people might be persuaded by manufactured consent through the media.
In fact, the media should not be a battleground of culture wars but a means of stabilizing the opinions of the people around a consensus supporting the symphonia of church and state. Now, some would call all of this fascist brainwashing. But it is not fascist since the state is not elevated to the status of a god. Nor is it brainwashing since the government merely needs to “occupy the field” of ideas in the mass media but does not need to maintain any strict censorship regimen and may tolerate a substantial amount of loyal dissent.
Just my two cents . . .

This is in reply to Lina (on another thread): There’s a joke told in Israel about the early Zionists: “They didn’t believe in God but they were sure that He gave them Palestine.”
It’s a rework of a joke told about anti-Semites: “They don’t believe that Jesus ever existed but they’re sure that the Jews killed Him.”

ABSTRACT
There is a tale that is 66.5 per cent true about Ben Zion Dinburg (later Dinur), the doyen of the early Zionist historiography of Palestine, and later one of the first ministers of Education. In 1937, he was approached by David Ben-Gurion, the leader of the Jewish community in Palestine and later the first Prime Minister of Israel, two weeks before the arrival of the Royal Peel Commission, which was asked by His Majesty’s Government to find a solution for the conflict in Palestine. Ben-Gurion inquired whether the respectable historian could produce some research that would prove Jewish continuity from 70 ce, the time of the Roman exile, to 1882, the time of the arrival of the first Zionists. Well, replied the historian, I could, but this involves many periods and a variety of expertize and therefore it will probably take a decade or so to complete it successfully. “You do not understand”, retorted Ben-Gurion, “The Peel Commission is coming in two weeks’ time. Therefore you have to reach your conclusion by then, after that you have a whole decade to prove it!”

Here is a story from USS John McCain…
“Commander of Navy warship relieved of duty months after backward rifle scope photo flap”
https://apnews.com/article/navy-yaste-uss-john-mccain-san-diego-3ea123fd26caf4f4981da068aea43135
‘ SAN DIEGO (AP) — The commander of a Navy destroyer that’s helping protect the San Diego-based aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt in the Middle East has been relieved of duty about four months after he was seen in a photo firing a rifle with a scope mounted backward.
The image brought the Navy considerable ridicule on social media. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Cameron Yaste, commanding officer of the destroyer USS John McCain, was removed on Friday.
The Navy said Yaste was relieved of duty “due to a loss of confidence in his ability to command the guided-missile destroyer” that’s currently deployed in the Gulf of Oman. The statement didn’t elaborate about why Yaste was replaced.
In April, a photo posted on the Navy’s social media showed Yaste in a firing stance gripping the rifle with a backward scope.
The military news outlet Stars and Stripes reported that the Marine Corps took a dig at the Navy, sharing a photo on its social media of a Marine firing a weapon aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer. The caption read: “Clear Sight Picture.”
The post featuring Yaste was ultimately deleted. “Thank you for pointing out our rifle scope error in the previous post,” the Navy later wrote on social media. “Picture has been removed until EMI (extra military instruction) is completed.” ‘

The wokeification (feminization/sissyfication/etc.) of our military is almost complete.
Perhaps the whole woke agenda was to demolish the military (and hence the US) in a controlled fashion? I could see that as a possibility but then, the entire egalitarian/emancipatory agenda was flawed from the beginning.
